Redefining Success and Satisfaction in a World of “More”
“Maintain the nourishment of happiness. Donate and distribute happiness, and you will experience even more happiness.”
Dadi Janki
In many countries today people are living in an age of unparalleled comfort. For these souls everything is faster, easier, and more accessible than any generation before us. Yet, despite being materially rich, many of us are becoming spiritually poor. Why? Because the ego is very subtle, it never stops creating desires and telling us that we need… “Just a little more…” More money. More status. More experiences. More likes, followers, recognition … We keep chasing — but somehow remain unfulfilled.

The Modern Emotional Paradox
We scroll to avoid uncomfortable emotions. We eat or binge-watch to escape what we don’t want to feel, those things sitting deep inside us that need addressing. We spend decades climbing the ladder of “success,” only to discover that ladder was leaning against the wrong wall.
The moment we achieve something, the goalpost moves. The joy is fleeting and we can’t hold onto that good feeling for long. And then the cycle repeats …
This is simply because we are looking for success, and therefore happiness, in the wrong place with the wrong type of motivation. When our foundations are not based on love, truth, compassion and kindness, then we are bound to get some wonky outcomes that don’t please us or satisfy our needs.

Why Are We So Dissatisfied?
Because discontentment comes from focusing on what we don’t have, while believing we should have it.
And desire — if we observe honestly — is often a decision to stay unhappy until we get what we think we want! Often framed as a need as we continue to fool ourselves. True freedom is not about having everything. It is not being in bondage to anyone or anything.
There is no greater wealth than peace of mind.
Real Success Looks Different
It’s time we re-define what it means to succeed. Real success isn’t about accumulation — it’s about inner contentment.
Here are some powerful points that can help us make those internal shifts to create a life of meaning, contentment, and joy:
- Happiness and Gratitude
Happiness isn’t something you chase.
It emerges when you appreciate what you already have.
- Simplicity
Life becomes lighter when you simplify everything in it.
Your home, your calendar, your expectations, and especially your thinking.
- Purpose over Position and Possessions
Your value isn’t in your title or your bank balance — it’s in you and the purposeful way you live.
- Inner Stillness and Meditation
The world will never stop being noisy. Stillness is an inner mastery — a calm that the soul carries deep inside, that calmness travels with you wherever you go.
- Sit with Yourself
Look within. Listen. Reflect. Self-awareness is where you begin … that is where you will find richness … within.

- Balance
Live fully in the world, but keep your sanity and inner peace in all situations. This is real success.
- The Law of Giving
Whatever you want more of — just give it. Love, respect, peace, compassion, kindness, abundance. Whatever you give out and offer to the world will in time come back to you.
- A 24-Hour Practice
For one day, try saying:
“I love myself. I love everything I have. I have everything I need.”
Observe the shift in your energy and circumstances.
- Say Thank You to everything
When thank you becomes natural and genuine; when I can genuinely say thank you to everything that comes my way, then contentment and happiness are the inevitable result.
- Whatever You Focus On Grows
Remember that your attention is like water. Be mindful of what and where you are watering.

Just make time to pause for a moment in your life and ask yourself this question:
When was the last time you felt deeply satisfied — not because of what you achieved, bought, or received — but simply because you were at peace with yourself? You may well find that the times of greatest happiness came from enjoying the simple things of life.
Success is not “more”. Success is enough when you have an attitude of appreciation. It is inner alignment, contentment, where your living is matching your purpose, and you are at peace with your conscience.
It’s Time … to nurture your happiness and to live a successful life.
