Aruna Ladva has been practising soul conscious meditation for over 40 years. During this time, she has become a prolific writer, serving to make the spiritual wisdom she continues to gain, deeply accessible, with a style and language that speaks to everyone.
She was born in Kenya, educated in England, lived and worked in Canada, spent time in the USA, Turkey, Kuwait and other parts of the world. She travels regularly to India and the headquarters of The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University.
It was through The Brahma Kumaris at the age of 8 that she had her first encounter and experience with soul conscious meditation. By the time she was 14 she knew exactly what her life’s purpose was to be. She has become an experienced and dedicated teacher and helped to establish meditation centres in Vancouver, Istanbul, Bahrain and Kuwait City. She is a Certified Negotiator in Conflict Resolution and has a self-published book on the subject, ‘Conflict Resolution’ (click here for your own free copy). She also launched an eight-book series with the theme, ‘It’s time…’, a collection of inspired writing, covering a wide range of the relevant topics of today.
Aruna is currently based at The Brahma Kumaris’ Global Retreat Centre, in Oxfordshire, UK, where she facilitates retreats, training sessions and various self-development programmes. From there, she continues to write her blog that began in February 2010 and work on other new publications.
In November 2014, Aruna received a ‘Woman of Excellence Award’ from the Yoga Federation of India, for her contribution to social work. She works to promote inner peace and harmony, and espouses a life of daily meditation, a vegan diet, spiritual study and introversion as a way of achieving a life of personal fulfilment and service to others.
