You Only Need to Find Yourself

You Only Need to Find Yourself

You only need to find yourself, everything else can be googled.

Today I came across this quote by an unknown author.  These words are simply so true.  You will find the information to everything in the world on Google…  Except about yourself.

What does it mean to find yourself?  It means to connect to that divine inner ‘self’.  It means to get to know one’s strengths and weaknesses.  Over time we have lost our sense of ‘self’ and who we are; where we came from and where we are headed.  We forgot our purpose and our mission in life.  We forgot what was true; what was real; and what was an illusion.  It is not a question of fault for anyone, because really it is all just part of the journey of life.  Yes, we lost ourselves along the way, but now many souls are finding their way back. Sometimes this journey is known as the ‘road less travelled’.  This is why this present time is called a time of awakening.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less travelled by,
And that made all the difference.

What happened?  How did we become lost?  Our bearings started to change completely and we began to give greater value to material objects; we tried to possess people too; focusing only on material gain and things in the outer world.  We reached out to things that were so far from us… literally and metaphorically… losing our soul and our values.  We became tired, we became empty and then we found that we were lost…  We wonder why we are confused!!  We became lost in the jungle of desire and deception.  Then slowly we could see very little “light”, and that road ahead seemed to be filled with darkness.

But, from the deep stillness inside there is a pull.  A spiritual pull… to look for something more, something better, something more lasting… something more meaningful…  Something is drawing us back to our real purpose in life.

That thirst to be authentic makes us take a long and hard look within to find our ‘self’.  And when we do, we are elated.  We feel we have arrived home.  We find that this is an everlasting happiness.  An inner joy and bliss.  We resonate with this pure feeling.

We lost our inner peace… In time we come to understand that we can only find that peace inside… that inner peace does not exist on the outside, it can only be on the inside…

We can google everything up to a point… but after that we have to make our own way.  That journey begins when we take a step inwards, and place a footstep onto the path ‘less travelled’.

It’s Time… to find our true ‘self’ once again… on the inside… and to stop looking outside.
