Bye Bye 2015

Bye Bye 2015

HiRes-2 copy

So much has happened around the world in 2015. Some good, and some not so good. But how has the year been for you personally? As we say goodbye to the last twelve months, let us do so choosing to recall the important or life-changing moments, and knowing how rich and experiential it has been.  Let us learn the lessons, so that we repeat the good ones and let go of the ‘others’?

Listen to the audio (Music by Deuter – Sea and Silence)

It’s always good to reflect on the year gone by, as it allows us to review, value, appreciate, and give closure. Here we present to you some questions for reflection and contemplation that you can answer sitting quietly in the comfort of your own home. Put on some soft music, reserve a good space of time, clear the mind, and one by one, go through the questions as honestly as possible.  There are no right answers! This exercise is just to give you an idea of what your soul has ‘insperienced’ and what is yet to be ‘experienced’!

The only way we can change the ‘past’ (or what is to become the past!) is to change the present, and so the future. We can choose what we want to remember and learn from, and we can also choose what we do not want to give any more power to: that is, what we would rather leave behind. So take charge of your life. Make things happen, as opposed to only reacting to things when they happen.

Here are the questions. Don’t think too hard or try to work them out. Let them emerge from that place of wisdom that is within each of us.

Looking Back:

What is your most inspiring memory of 2015?

What things of value have you learnt this year?

What have your biggest mistakes taught you for the future?

What do you need to let go of?

Is there anyone you need to forgive? (it may be yourself!)

Now:

When do you feel most alive?

What would you like to attract right now in your life?

Make a list of everything you’d like to say no to…

Make a list of everything you’d like to say yes to…

What positive mindset are you willing to create for yourself?

For the Future

What do you want most for yourself in 2016?

What are your goals and aims for the coming year?

What do you need to do to achieve these?

How will you reframe your fears and transform them into hope, challenge, excitement?

What do you innately sense is your work/direction in the months to come?

And finally:

Create your own motto or slogan that you will repeat to yourself often; a phrase that uplifts and inspires you. For example:  “I am worthy”, “Everything is always working out for me”, or “I can do it!”

When you have completed your questions, sit for a few minutes in meditation and re-affirm what the intuitive messages are that you are receiving from these answers. And follow your heart.

Close your eyes and imagine the kind of world you would like to see.  What is it like?

It’s Time… to say goodbye to the old and begin anew!

PS/ The above audio can also act as a reflective meditation.  Simply play and answer the questions… 3 mins into the audio the questions begin.  Enjoy!

I think this article is very good and I am pondering it gently, especially what slogan to use to repeat over and over to myself. I wanted to let you know about a mistake that I heard in the audio. The first question says, what is your most inspiring memory of 2016? It is supposed to be 2015 and it is correct in the written section.
